Yogi Bear Jellystone Park at Barton Lake
Jellystone Park resort is more than a campground: It is an action-packed outdoor paradise. This family-friendly destination in Fremont boasts a waterpark, arcade, laser tag, mini golf, and traditional amenities like playgrounds, a beach, and pools. Your crew will be entertained from dawn to dusk with so many options. Choose from back-in or pull-up sites with 30 and 50-amp hookups. Traveling with friends? There are buddy sites that accommodate two or three RVs. Rates for standard sites start around $40 in shoulder season and $60 in summer.
Brown County State Park
This 16,000-acre park is one of Indiana’s most popular state parks and is located east of Bloomington. Nicknamed “Little Smokey” thanks to the park’s resemblance to the Great Smokey Mountains, visitors enjoy miles of scenic hiking and mountain biking trails. The campground offers a restaurant, shop, showers, and a new pool. With RV site fees ranging from $12 to $44 per night, it is also a bargain.
Caboose Lake Campground
The Caboose Lake Campground is your destination if your family wants to be active and enjoys water activities. Resort highlights include a summer family fun zone where adults and kids enjoy water inflatables, bumper boats, beach inflatables, and more. (You’ll have to buy a wristband to access the fun zone.) Visitors can also rent paddle boats, golf carts, fishing boats, and kayaks. Other amenities include heated showers, laundry facilities, and WiFi.RV sites range from $59 to $74 per night, and weekly and monthly rates are available.
Clifty Falls State Park
Calling all nature lovers and hikers: Clifty Falls State Park campground is for you. Located near the Kentucky border, this park is beloved for its canyons and waterfalls. RV travelers will appreciate its amenities, too, including an expansive nature center, tennis courts, laundry facilities, an outdoor pool, areas for stargazing, shower facilities, and playgrounds. RV sites range between $15 and $44 per night.
Follow the River RV Resort
Another scenic southern Indiana destination in Florence, Follow The River, offers 160 RV sites. Visitors can access a swimming pond, clubhouse, concert bandstand, and a heated saltwater pool. Nearby attractions include the Kentucky Speedway, antique stores and riverboat casinos. Rates range between $53 and $63 per night, and weekly and monthly rates are available.
Indiana Dunes National Park
Just a mile from the shores of Lake Michigan, this state park will make you feel like you’re on a beach vacation. The park’s namesake dunes tower 200 feet high along the shore, and the soft sand beaches will delight adults and kids. There’s a nature center near the campground, and popular activities include swimming, fishing, and beach volleyball. RV site fees are between $16 and $23 per night and offer 30 and 50-amp electrical hookups.
CERA Sports Park and Campground
RV travelers can partake in nearly any activity imaginable at this massive sports park and campground. The campground offers 252 full-service sites with water and 30 and 50-amp electricity, but the real star is the resort’s amenities. There’s an aquatics complex with a wading pool, water slide, and rock wall. The indoor sports complex features two full-size gyms, an indoor track, and a weight room. Outdoors, an 18-hole mini golf course, a driving range, and an 11-acre lake stocked with fish. Visitors can try go-karting, play tennis on outdoor courts, or play the 18-hole disc golf course. When the day is done, visit the full-service bar and restaurant, The Landing, which hosts live music on weekends. Rates start at $59 per day.
